Walter's Cardinal Pair Panel

The last 88 cardinal-pair leaded-glass panels from Walter Sinclair's Stamford workshop. A traditional 22 cm round leaded-glass suncatcher panel — a male and a female cardinal on a brown dogwood branch with green leaves, three white dogwood flowers and a small cluster of red winter berries, set against a cream textured krinkle-glass background, framed by a continuous dark cast-iron 6 mm hoop and hung from a dark cast-iron chain.

Walter is closing his studio at the end of September 2026 — not because he is tired, but because the lead itself has run out. His final roll of 99.97% Stourbridge restoration-grade lead came (the same lead that holds cathedral windows together) arrived in April. There is exactly enough for the remaining 88 panels, with a few centimetres to spare.
