A 22×22cm horizontal panel with seven distinct songbirds (goldfinch, cardinal, parrot, dove, rainbow finch, cardinal-finch, honeyeater) perched on a wood branch. The bright detail-highlights on each bird are designed from Bertram Halloway's hand-engraved Roman gold-glass sandwich originals — 23.5kt gold leaf engraved between two layers of clear soda-lime glass and fused at 850°C (2nd-century Roman cemetery-glass technique). Final 56 panels from Bertram's 44-year Dunoon Argyll workshop before he closes 12 July 2026 after losing his wife Cordelia to pancreatic cancer on 6 March 2026. 100% of proceeds support Marie Curie Glasgow Hospice.
