Prismatic Hummingbird in Flight — Diatreta Stained-Glass Suncatcher

A 15×15cm prismatic hummingbird designed from Petra Wickham's hand-cut Roman-diatreta cage-cup prototype — the faceted-crystal appearance is reproduced from her 2019 single-block cold-cut original (940 bench hours). The 4th-c Roman vasa diatreta technique survives in only ~7 authentic Roman pieces worldwide (British Museum, Hermitage); only ~4 living practitioners can do it. Final 47 prismatic hummingbirds from Petra's 39-year Stamford Georgian forge workshop before she closes 28 June 2026 — diagnosed with motor neurone disease (ALS limb-onset) at Cambridge MND Clinic February 2026. 100% of proceeds support MNDA Cambridge & East Anglia.
