The final 130 from a 39-year Pembrokeshire studio
A die-cut mixed-media phoenix dreamcatcher (20 × 20 cm) — multi-element construction with NASA-developed dichroic-glass wing-tips that refract colour by angle, a hand-woven brass dreamcatcher net at the top, a cathedral-glass phoenix body in five oranges and golds, and faceted-glass feather pendants hanging beneath. Every piece passes through Bronwen Davies's hand at the old lighthouse-keeper's cottage above St Davids where she has worked since 1987. The lease ends in September 2026. After the last 130 ship, there will be no more.
What sets it apart
- Dichroic-glass wing-tips — NASA-developed metallic-coated glass (~15× the cost of ordinary cathedral glass); shifts gold→turquoise→magenta by angle
- Hand-rolled cathedral glass body in 5 oranges and golds, copper-foiled and lead-tin soldered
- Hand-woven dreamcatcher net (waxed linen on brass hoop) in the traditional spiral pattern
- Czech faceted-glass beadwork down the chest and tail
- Dichroic-glass feather pendants on fine chains beneath the body
- 12-15 hours of bench work per piece across three working days
- Fine brass chain + suction-cup hook included; no drilling required
